In India people are more sensitive about price than brand of clothes?

I was wondering about Indians although we have all kind of segments in every country but If we talk about the majority of people in India before 10 years then people were more sensitive about price thats why only medium brands were having good sales figure but now I think scenario is changing.What is your opinion.

Yes now days things are changing.People are going towards western culture.And one more thing i would like to tell that in this our Government is performing a major step in allowing Multinational Companies in India.

India has this days adopted the western trends to a great extend. Like mentioned above this days people go for branded and quality clothes leaving aside the price that the clothes may demand.

Even in Indian cinema we see a dramatic change in their way of wearing clothes. The people get inspired by it and automatically change their way of selecting clothes. Thus,these days we find most of the Indian going for higher price clothes.

maybe not always just for the time being seeing we have recession times.

Yes, during recession time people have less money to spend on Luxury items and so they hardly go for branded cloths when they get the same quality and quantity at a Wholesale rate. Now-a-days even I go for cheap cloths rather than wasting money on branded cloths.

Frankly speaking , not only in recession , majority of the indians need the quantity of the product not the quality .
so, definetely i think they dont have an eye on branded ones.

here we have what we call ukay-ukay, means second hand branded clothes. i for one own a couple of them, they sell for usually here like 80% lower than new branded clothes, give it a good wash in the wash and dry walk-ins and then you can own it, like brand new but you don't have to tell it's second hand to people, they won't know the difference.

still you're in style and plus most important thing you have your money.

that's really true. Even for me I prefer to go for second hand clothes provided they are my choice. And yes we get all sort of designs so the only thing we need to do is to wash it properly and then use.

my suggestion is to dont use these second handed clothes as the shp keepers get these clothes from some ugly sources , so its better to use clothes of newer ones
