Email Paypal Scam

Hi Everybody here,
I am through this thread want to tell you my own experience about Paypal Scam which some hackers try to do.

Some of the Hackers on Internet will send us the mail i got once or twice this type of mail stating that "Your password needs to change" because some illegal activity has been noted in your account.And they will give one link in mail telling to click that and to change the password after giving old password.They will make the page of Paypal Login which is exactly like original Paypal.And after you give your login details your Paypal original is gone because this people are hackers.So do not open or if open do not click any suspected links of Paypal.

How will you come to know that this is not Original Paypal link?
Well this is the main question.But do not worry i have the answer about this.When by mistake also if you click that link in mail they sent you they are doing one mistake.The mistake is that the Url of that link is like Welcome - PayPal or http://www.paypal.co.hk or any like that or paypal spelling is different.So just check the URL in the address bar every time you click this type of links.Original Paypal link is one http://www.paypal.com

I was totally aware of this kind of scams because i am on internet since last many years so i was not the culprit of this kind of scam.But may any one of you might become culprit sometimes so i told you here.

i receive several of this paypal scam and phishing email, if it's a paypal phishing email trying to steal your paypal password then forward the original email if you still have it to spoof@paypal.com they will confirm with you within 24 hours or less that the email received is really phishing email and they will report the site to the webhosting provider and have it closed.

There seems to be a few more stories about Paypal hacking coming about. Hope this doesn't turn into a common thing. I have seen some examples of them phising pages and its quitre hard to tell the difference between them and the real website.

I do not have that mail because it was long back i got that mail.But thanks for the mail id provided so that in future in can forward it to that mail id.

I have never received an email like that. Normally i get a confirmation of payment, and once the seller receives payment, the item is posted. It could be the buyer being careful, contact the buyer and ask if this is her doing being super cautious, depend on the bank so I would try and not make a big deal out of it until certain it is a scam? With Paypal I just never click links, same with ebay... I read the mail then i close the mail and go into Paypal/Ebay through the normal channels, typing it in myself, therefore I keep myself safe, Works for me lol
