What do u think are the best ways to promote your website appart from these auto traffic sites which generate trafic only for our satisfaction and i think that not the real traffic which we get , the visitors which we get from our topics related to the website is the real traffic in my sense

The best way to promote your website is to submit with most search engines and do link building and post quality posts.Another way is to get high page rank.It will automatically bring you quality traffic.

I follow the following methods.

1. GOOD CONTENT

2. Submit article to article directories

3. Submit the blog or website to various Directories.

4. Post comments in other people's blogs to get a link back to your site.

5. Post regularly in various forums and take advantage of the signatures.

Is that good to submit our website to traffic exchange sites to increase visitors of the blog , ya , I too think that quality posts are the best ways to promote the website and too increase the traffic of the website.

I would suggest that this is a bad idea to submit to traffic exchange sites. Because we don't get real visitors. Better we should devote our time in article marketing and submitting our sites to various directories. For a blog there are a lot of blog directories.

I would hav to agree with jr_sci that it wouldn't be a good idea to submit your site to traffic exchange sites, especially if they were done in the way of a link farm. Link farms can actually hurt your page rank becuase google will index the links as spam and your page rank will go down.

It's good to exchange links, but just make sure you are exchanging links properly.

Well from my 4 years of experience i can suggest you not to go for any autosurf,traffic exchange site this will not good for your site rather your site's quality will be lost.Remember one thing quality content is the king of any site ,if you will continuously add quality content to your site with proper keywords defintely you will get natural search engine traffic.Then you can submit your site in to digg,SU like places to attarct more traffic.

Advertising is just a method of attracting people. The real question is can the content of your website temp people to visit it ? If your website is simple all about yourself then it will not generate any traffic at all.

People surf the web for information. Not just simple information about the author but of course information that they need for themselves.

If your site is all about script tutorials then you will have a great number of visitors. Creating more traffic and if you have a paid ad on it, then your site will be able to generate a dolloar or two for you.

The thread is really very informative. I am learning many things from this forum. especially from webmaster section.
In spite of having a high quality of the content, our website is not working well to its full potential. More seo related work should be done by a professional, we are realising, but at present we can't afford to do this.
